Dilaog Sri Lanka is offering 50% discount on the new Year Greeting SMS that you are sending from a dialog account on 31/12/2011 from 06.00 PM till 11.00 PM. This facility will be available only for Dialog customers to send SMS messages only to Dialog customers called as D2D.

KPN SMS
Dutch carrier KPN is going to offer free SMS service from 11.00 to 23.00hrs for its mobile customers free just before the New Year day.

In India mobile phone operators will charge extra for each SMS message sent on New Year. It is expected that they will put a price of Rs. 1.50. On normal days the SMS price is used to be priced at Rs. 1.00 - 0.50 paisa.
